The Creighton Volleyball team started on fire against Marquette on Sunday afternoon. Even though the Golden Eagles tried to keep up, the Bluejays defeated them in four sets — 25-20, 28-26, 19-25, 25-16 to give Marquette their first league loss and to tie things back up at the top of the Big East standings.
Freshman Norah Sis had a career-high 22 kills and Jaela Zimmerman contributed 20 of her own along with 28 digs in the victory. The Bluejays are now 17-2 on the season.
Also, head coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth, along with original assistant Angie Oxley Behrens, notched their 400th wins at Creighton.
