The Creighton women’s basketball team closed out their four game homestand on Saturday afternoon and fell short to Missouri State, 63-55. It snaps a five game home winning streak and a chance to gain a game back in the Missouri Valley Conference standings against the preseason conference favorite.
After the first few minutes of the game, Missouri State went on a 14-0 run and the Bluejays were not able to recover. The Bluejays got within six points a couple of times in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit. Sarah Nelson did get her seventh double-double of the season (16 pts., 10 rebounds) and Carli Tritz led Creighton in scoring with 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds of her own.
