Creighton’s men’s and women’s cross country teams raced in Lincoln this weekend with about two dozen other schools’ runners.
Creighton’s women’s team placed 12 out of 27 colleges and universities participating in the Woody Greeno-Nebraska Invitational. Freshmen Hannah Connealy (22:53.18) and Kara Telfer (23:18:58) led the way for the Jays.
The Bluejays men’s team placed 22 out of 26 squads at the race, with sophomore Stephen Van Gampleare (27:22:30) and freshman Mike Hitt (27:49:55) leading the way for Creighton.
Then, on Sunday, Creighton head coach Chas Davis won the Omaha Corporate Cup 10K race.
