Finally! Creighton has an NCAA Tournament team for the first time since the men’s soccer team advanced to the national tournament in 2008-2009. And while it has been a long drought for CU teams trekking to their respective Big Dances, this is no time to feel bad about the lack of trips. It is time to celebrate the Creighton softball team!
The Bluejays begin first round play Friday evening against the top 10 Missouri Tigers in Columbia, MO. The double-elimination round also features a top 20 Illinois squad and the DePaul Blue Demons.
The Bluejays begin play Friday evening against top 10 Missouri in the double-elimination regional in Columbia. If you are making the trip down to Columbia, or if you just want all the information about the teams playing in central Missouri, the host Tigers have this nice guide full of everything you need.
The games won’t be on television, but that doesn’t mean you can’t watch them online or track the progress of Tara Oltman, Renae Sinkler, and the rest of the Jays. White & Blue Review wants to make sure you know all your options for tracking this weekend’s regional.
Video
There is no TV coverage for the games in Columbia. But the games will be streamed via video online. The online video technology for these types of events has advanced quite nicely. If the video from last week’s MVC Softball tournament is any indication, it is just as good as watching on Fox Sports Net.
So, you can watch all the games this weekend on the Internet for free. Watch from the comfort of your own computer, or hook up your computer to your big screen!
