Today in Bluejay History (10/16)

October 16, 1998 — Freshman Kailey Reyes records an outstanding night in Creighton’s five-set win against Indiana State.

Reyes, a 5-5 freshman from Aiea, Hawaii, recorded just the fifth triple-double in Creighton volleyball history, and the first in a Bluejay victory. She posted 62 assists, 21 digs, and 10 kills against the Sycamores.

Two years later, Reyes would record her third career triple double against … Indiana State. On October 14, 2000, she would post 71 assists, 17 digs, and 13 kills in another five-set victory against ISU.

She would leave CU as the school’s all-time leader in assists and digs. She was named an all-Missouri Valley Conference first-team performer in 2000 and 2001.
