January 18, 2006 — Creighton’s men’s basketball team makes a Qwest Center-record 30 free throws out of a Qwest Center-record 44 free throw attempts to overcome a 10-point halftime deficit and defeat Bradley 80-76.

The Bluejays were led by Anthony Tolliver at the line, as the junior shot 14 free throws (making 9) en route to a team-high 19 points. In all, four Bluejays finished in double figures: Johnny Mathies (16), Dane Watts (13), and Nick Porter (13).

While the Jays shot 44 free throws, Bradley attempted just 12. However, the Braves shot 26 3-pointers, while the Bluejays shot just 9.

The 10-point halftime deficit was the largest overcome by the Bluejays in the three-plus years of playing games at Qwest Center Omaha.
