Today in Bluejay History (12/29)

December 29, 1990 — Creighton’s Kathy Halligan makes 14 field goals against Bradley in a 95-86 win.

Halligan, Creighton’s all-time leading scorer (2,159 total points; 18.8 points per game average), made 14 shots against the Braves, a mark that stands as the fourth best single-game total in Bluejays history. Halligan is first in school history in 3-pointers made (309), third on the school’s all-time field goals made list (749), and tenth in field goal percentage (48.6%).

Halligan also made 14 shots in a game the previous season, against New Mexico State. Amy Spencer made 14 shots one week earlier (at Kansas), and Pam Gradoville did it twice (vs. North Dakota in January 1987 and vs. Missouri in December 1987).

The last Bluejay to make 14 shots in one game was Christy Neneman, who did it against Drake in March 2002.
