Today in Bluejay History (12/4)

December 4, 1984 — Benoit Benjamin turns in one of the great individual rebounding efforts in Creighton basketball history.

Paul Silas owns all of Creighton’s top rebounding games: he holds the single-game record of 38 boards, all the way through 23 rebounds in a game six times. But on December 4, 1984, Benjamin grabbed 22 rebounds against Briar Cliff.

The junior, who would leave CU at the end of the 84-85 season, is currently third all-time in Creighton history with 1,005 career rebounds. He is one of three Bluejays in history to grab more than 1,000 caroms.
