August 21, 2004 — Both Creighton soccer teams lose in exhibition matches. The men give up one goal to Saint Louis University, and the Billikens blank the Bluejays 1-0. The women get trounced by Rock Chalk Jayhawk, falling 6-1 against Kansas.
Both teams’ seasons would improve drastically, however.
Creighton’s men’s team would climb as high as #4 in the polls, with its season eventually ending in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Maryland.
