September 19, 1990 — Creighton’s men’s soccer team plays its first match against the Kangaroos of Missouri-Kansas City. The Jays destroy the Roos, 9-1, in the first of what so far is 8 total wins against UMKC all time. The Jays lost the last meeting between the two teams, a 1-0 blanking in Omaha in September 2008.
And one day after pouring in 10 goals against Benedictine, the women’s soccer team shuts out Tarkio 4-0 on the road.
