Illinois State (7-1) @ Ohio (5-3)

Convocation Center

Athens, OH 7:05 CT

Well, if the Bobcats of Ohio watched any of the Niagara / Illinois State game they will know what to do to pull out the upset tonight, STOP THE O-HAWK.  Osiris Eldridge was held to 12 points and 1 assist in 31 minutes of play against Niagara in the first loss of the season for the Redbirds.  There needs to be other players that can step up, and it seems like the Redbird fans are missing Champ just a little bit more after this loss.

Ohio, who started the season off with a four game winning streak, hit a bit of a slump, losing their next three contests.  With their win over Delaware, the Bobcats were able to get their record to a respectable 5-3 and will look to keep the Redbirds down.  This game could go either way, but I would have to guess ISU will be a favorite in this one.  I like the Redbirds chances of bouncing back in this one and getting back on the right track.

Loyola-Chicago (6-3) @ Bradley (5-3)

Carver Arena

Peoria, Ill. 7:05 CT

Western Carolina.  Wow; I did not see that one coming.  The Braves held a ten point lead in the second half, but allowed Western Carolina to go on a 23-4 run to erase that lead and take control of the game.  Oh, and pay attention Jays, Western Carolina also hit all 6 of their free throws to put the game away.  That’s how you close one out.  Take it to the hole, and capitalize on your opportunities.

The Braves really need to bounce back from that loss, and they need to do it quickly.  They will get that opportunity when they play host to the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers tonight in Carver Arena.  The Ramblers will enter the game with a 6-2 over all record and have shown that they can share the scoring on this team with three players doping over 10 points per game.  This game could be close, but I like the ability of Jim Less to put a bit of a fire in his players.  The Braves should be able to take care of business.
