IUPUI (9-3) @ Indiana State (7-3)

Well, Indiana State has had an interesting non-conference schedule in 2009. Showing early that they were ready to play, had some consistent defense and were able to share the ball and not rely on an one individual games. They seem ready to take on what hould be a competitive MVC schedule and will hope to finish in the top half of the Valley this season.
The Sycamores will play host to IUPUI tonight, who has some experience with the Valley this season, as they were able to take out Drake early in the season. They will be lucky to hang with the Sycamores tonight, as I see this one over by half time.

The Panthers can’t quite take their Christmas break just yet with the Cowboys moseying into town. Last season the Cowboys defeated the Panters 74-65 in Wyoming. The Panther expecting to return the favor this season. Winners of seven games in a row, there’s no reason why the Panthers can’t make it eight. Over the weekend the Panthers traveled to North Dakota and came away victorious, 64-41. An unexpected hero freshman Marc Sonnen knocked down 7 3-pt FG’s to lead UNI. The defense did their job, allowing just 41 points.
The Cowboys come in riding a streak which saw them win four of their last five. The only loss in that streak came to Bruce Pearl and Tennessee. A balanced Cowboy line-up has four players average 10 points or more. Adam Muojeke leads the Cowboys at 16.8 ppg. Earlier in the season Wyoming lost to Denver by 3. That happens to be the same Denver team UNI beat in the season opener, 71-65.
