In a day filled with close games and last second shots, the Shockers decided they didn’t want to be a part of that. They welcomed the Braves in St. Louis and showed them no mercy in taking over from the opening tip to cruise to a 70-56 victory. Sure, the Braves got the game within 10, but the Shockers completed plays when they needed to and never put themselves in a position where the game could be lost.
Indiana State, on the other hand, trailed the majority of their game against Evansville and needed a last second mid-range jumper from Jake Odum to seal the victory, 52-50. Friday was a great day for basketball in St. Louis and and Saturday should be a treat as well. Personally, I am waiting for WSU to slip up. Maybe someone should invite the team out to Mardi Gras tonight?
