Indiana State (2-3) vs. Buffalo (3-1)

Hullman Center; Terre Haute, IN

12:05 CT

Indiana State will play their first game of the regular season on their home court today as they take on the Bulls of Buffalo.  It will be good to get home, as the long five game road stretch ended in a 2-3 record.  Ending it on a positive note, the Sycamores were able to top the Golden Eagles of ORU 74-69.

ISU-Blue will look to get to .500 as the Buffalo Bulls roll into town.  Sitting at 3-1, the Bulls are coming off a 81-64 victory over Conisius.  Today should be a good homecoming for the Sycamores, hopefully they can get things back on track.

Illinois State (3-1) vs. ULM (2-3)

Redbird Arena; Normal, IL

6:05 CT

Illinois State took care of business at home last night as they took out South Dakota 81-63 in the opening game of the Global Sports Roundball Classic.  They will continue to host as they take on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

The Warhawks were also able to take care of business as they beat Jacksonville State 57-50.  Normal should be a tough place for the entire tournament field to play, especially against the Redbirds.

Butler (3-1) vs. Evansville (2-2)

Hinkle Fieldhouse; Indianapolis, IN

1:00 CT

Last time out, Colt Ryan’s 31 points against Middle Tennessee wasn’t enough for the Purple Aces, losing 82-70 on the road.  This afternoon won’t be much easier for Evansville who will be playing their third game of a four game roadtrip.  Last year the Purple Aces hung tough before falling 64-60.  This Butler team is still learning to play with the lost Gordon Heyward who went to the NBA.

Wright St. (3-2) vs. Southern Illinois (2-3)

Sears Center; Chicago, IL

5:00 CT

Chicago Invitational Challenge

Last night the Salukis held Purdue to a 1-13 start from the floor and we able to build a lead early in the game.  The Boilermakes roared back and went on to defeat SIU 79-60.  Justin Bocut, off to a night start on the season, finished with 18.  Wright St. is also coming off a defeat last night.  They fell to Richmond 71-61.  The good news, one of these teams will leave the Chicago Invitational Challenge with a win.

Northern Iowa (1-2) vs. North Dakota (2-2)

McLeod Center; Cedar Falls, IA

8:05 CT

The Panthers are back in action for the first time in a week.  Last time out they lost to Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Back at home, the Panthers have success against non-conference foes, especially since the opening of the McLeod Center where they are 20-4.  The two teams played also played last year in Cedar Falls.  The Panthers won 64-41.  The Fighting Sioux are picked sixth in the preseason of the Great West Conference.  Troy Huff leads North Dakota in scoring at 12.5 ppg.
