Creighton volleyball has gotten off to a bit of a rough start. After coming from behind to win their opening match of the year against UTSA at the Texas A&M invitational, the Bluejays have lost their last three–Two matches against Texas A&M and a mid-week showdown with Kansas State in Manhattan.
With a lot of new players in the mix, there has been great improvement over those first four matches. Coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth talked to us after the team’s road trip ready to play some games at home.
Creighton does, in fact, open their home season this weekend with three matches in the Bluejay Invitational against Northern Illinois, South Dakota and Marquette. Friday night, the Bluejays will take on Northern Illinois. With the first home game of the season, there should be a great crowd on hand.
We will be there as well on Friday night.
