Saturday (October 20)

Socctoberfest Beer Garden and BBQ (3:00-7:00 p.m., Morrison Stadium Lawn)

We’re co-sponsoring the first Socctoberfest event, an Oktoberfest-style beer garden taking place during a great day of men’s and women’s soccer matches.

For $20, you will receive a limited edition 32-ounce Creighton Soccer Beer Stein, one fill of beer, and a bratwurst. Whether you’re coming to the women’s soccer match at 4:30 p.m. or the men’s match at 7 p.m., join other CU soccer fans for this unique new event.

Creighton Women’s Soccer vs. Evansville (4:30 p.m.)

The home crowd gets a chance to say goodbye to seniors Katie Jo Swanson, Brittney Neumann, Katie Murphy, Sarah Kendall, and Gabriela Guillen. The Bluejays are winless in Valley play, with two matches left (vs. Evansville, at UNI) in the regular season.

Creighton Men’s Soccer vs. Bradley (7:00 p.m.)

Elmar Bolowich’s team is on a roll. Winners of five straight, the Bluejays are suddenly scoring in bunches. The Jays recorded 3 goals in each of the past three matches, and the defense blanked Central Arkansas and UMKC in the past two victories. MVC rival Bradley will pose a greater challenge than the Bears and the Kangaroos, though, and Braves are tops in the MVC with three wins (the Jays have two).

Creighton Volleyball at Drake (7:00 p.m.)

The Bluejays (17-3, 8-1 MVC) visit the Bulldogs (3-17, 2-7 MVC) in Creighton’s only match this weekend. CU swept DU 3-0 in Omaha in September, and the Jays currently sit atop the Valley standings. Creighton is 11-2 in the teams’ last 13 meetings dating back to 2007.
