Darin Boudreau is not from Omaha. He grew up in central Nebraska, went to college in central Nebraska, and has been of all things a Kentucky Wildcat fan. Creighton was not a school really talked about west of Omaha when growing up. In fact he did not even know much about Creighton Basketball until he moved here in 1999. On November 27th, 2001, Darin went to his first Creighton game at the old Civic Auditorium. It was a double-overtime thriller against #17 Western Kentucky. He’s been a rabid fan ever since.
Darin has been a contributor to Bluejay message boards for years and eventually under the name Wildjays. He started his own blog in the summer of 2008 with the name Patrick Marshall mainly to keep track of the things talked about over and over on the message boards and to discover the facts associated with those conversations.
For five seasons, Darin had the opportunity to write for the basketball blog Rush the Court covering the Missouri Valley Conference. He also covered the Big 12 in addition to the MVC the first season. Darin has had the opportunity to cover many games from press row over the past few years including the MVC Tournament and several other Creighton games including the CBI finals out in Oregon, games in Chicago and other games and events.
Going to the Creighton games is now a family tradition that is not messed with since they go to all of the home games and even some away games. Being a part of the White & Blue Review was something he couldn’t pass up.
