The Omaha regional pod ended with excitement on Sunday. The Wisconsin Badgers, #1 seed in the west, left the CenturyLink Center with a thrilling 72-65 win over 8th seeded Oregon and head to the Sweet 16. With the victory, the Badgers head to Los Angeles to meet up with North Carolina on Thursday for a chance for a spot in the Elite 8.
Oregon kept it close throughout with former Creighton head coach Dana Altman looking for some CenturyLink magic. Joseph Young had 30 point to lead the Ducks. However, it was the scoring balance between Sam Dekker (17), Frank Kaminsky (16), Nigel Hayes (14) and Bronson Koenig (12) that led Wisconsin to victory.
