The Creighton men’s basketball team returned to the court Saturday night hoping to regroup after last week’s loss to St. Joseph. They responded in a big way, especially down low as Gregory Echenique had season highs with18 points and 14 rebounds and Doug McDermott continued his great season scoring over 20 points for the eighth consecutive game. They walked away with a 97-62 victory.
The game was over early as the Bluejays raced out to a 46-23 lead. This gave coach Greg McDermott a nice opportunity to rest the starters for most of the second half in preparation for Monday’s game at Tulsa.
