Today in Bluejay History (4/11)

April 11, 2007 — Creighton begins an 11-game win streak with a road victory at Kansas State.

The Bluejays posted a 3-1 victory against the Wildcats, following a weekend conference series at Wichita State. The Jays could manage just one win against the Shockers, a top 10 foe the Bluejays would battle deep into the MVC Tournament just a few weeks later.

The win at K-State served as a catalyst for a lengthy winning streak that saw Creighton sweep Bradley, beat Nebraska in Lincoln, sweep Indiana State in Terre Haute, and take three straight from Northern Colorado out of conference. Factor in just a series-opening loss to Southern Illinois on May 4, and the Jays would win 21 of 22 games beginning with the victory at Kansas State.

The 2007 season would be a memorable one for the Bluejays, as CU would battle back in the MVC Tournament to win the championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament. The Jays would end the season in the national rankings.
