Today in Bluejay History (5/7)

May 7, 2005 — Creighton’s softball team gets homer-happy at the CU Sports Complex.

The Bluejays hosted Wichita State in Valley action, and the Shockers split the doubleheader with CU. But the Jays hit their way into the record books, walloping 4 home runs in one of the games. Coming into the 2010 season, the Bluejays had hit 4 home runs in a game five times in school history (the last time in 2007 … twice!). The school record is 5 dingers in one game, done twice (the last time in 2009).
