One season after winning the school’s first national championship in baseball, Ray Tanner and the South Carolina Gamecocks became only the sixth school in history to repeat as champs. And they did so without losing in a game during the entire 2011 postseason.
The Gamecocks swept SEC rival Florida in the best-of-three championship finals, using a well-tested formula of outstanding pitching, solid defense, and timely hitting to secure another national title.
