With Omaha sweltering under 110-degree temps this week and most of us stuck inside, I fell into a rabbit hole watching a bunch of the cinematic highlight packages on Creighton Basketball’s social media accounts. These are the videos posted a day or two after games — not highlight packages from the TV broadcast, but cinematically-shot recaps of games featuring behind-the-scenes footage interspersed with highlights, often using John Bishop’s terrific calls from Bluejay Radio as narration.
As I was doing so, it occurred to me that they’re not really catalogued anywhere in one place, and sort of difficult to find on their social media accounts all these many months later, so I started copying URLs of the clips as I found them into a text document. Pretty soon, I had a “playlist” chronicling the entire magical 2022-23 season (well, the wins anyway — they didn’t produce these packages for losses, understandably). Why keep that for only myself? Seems like a waste.
So whether you missed these the first time around, or want to watch them again, here’s the whole batch, start to finish — watch them one after another and it’s a brilliantly-shot-and-edited document of an unforgettable season. It’s the highlight video of the 2022-23 Creighton Bluejays. Enjoy.
