On Wednesday, all ten Big East men’s basketball coaches visited the Fox Sports studios in Los Angeles for what’s called a “Car Wash” in industry parlance — they were paraded around the studios to guest on multiple platforms and programs, including FS1 and online. They even took part in a Pop-A-Shot contest with all ten coaches shooting at once! Here’s some of the highlights:
Coach Greg McDermott tried on a virtual reality device:

And then Coach Mac participated in a live chat on Periscope, answering questions:

And so did the other coaches:
- Kevin Willard, Seton Hall
- Ed Cooley, Providence
- Chris Mullin, St. John’s
- Dave Leitao, DePaul
- John Thompson III, Georgetown
- Chris Holtmann, Butler
- Steve Wojciechowski, Marquette
- Jay Wright, Villanova
- Chris Mack, Xavier
Wright, Mack, Willard and Cooley then were on set during “America’s Pregame” on FS1, where they discussed the upcoming season. Mack shared this funny anecdote from last year’s Big East Tournament title game:

Coach Mac sat down for an interview with FS1’s Kristin Leahy that will air later this week:

And some of the other coaches headed to the set of “Modern Family” (which shoots on the same Fox lot as Fox Sports’ studios):

Proving Bristol isn’t the only place in the sporting universe where you might run into random sports superstars in the hallway, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was also at the Fox Sports studios and stopped to chat.

And finally, all ten coaches squared off in a good-natured contest of “Pop-A-Shot”!

Meanwhile, Fox was also on hand for the Big East’s Freshman Fundamentals program in NYC last week, and talked with Khyri Thomas and Ronnie Harrell: After the short trip to L.A., McDermott headed to Las Vegas where he tweeted this:
Checking in to hotel in Vegas and run into 3 different groups of Omaha folks. Creighton fans everywhere!! # can’t wait for the season — Coach McDermott (@cucoachmac) September 17, 2015
We couldn’t agree more, Coach. The season is just around the corner, but it can’t get here soon enough!
