The Creighton men’s basketball team opened the 2021-22 regular season on Tuesday night. The Bluejays took a bit to get going being down at halftime, but then raced out in the second half to take over the lead and send fans home with a 90-77 victory.
Newcomers Ryan Nembhard and Ryan Hawkins both notched double-double’s (15 points, 10 assists and 16 points, 11 rebounds respectively) and Arthur Kaluma had 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks of his own in the victory. Senior Alex O’Connell led the way with 20 points while throwing down a few dunks during an active sequence early in the second half.
