CWS 2019 Photo Gallery: Michigan Draws First Blood Against Florida State Sending Seminoles to Loser Bracket

Michigan started things off with a bang on Monday night with a homer in the first inning and limited Florida State to three hits as the Wolverines continued their improbable run in the postseason in a 2-0 win.  The Seminoles move to the loser bracket.

With one out in the first inning, Jesse Franklin homered to right field to kick off the scoring to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.  An insurance run was added in the fifth inning and that was all that was needed for Michigan pitcher Tommy Henry.

Henry pitched a complete game shutout, giving up only three hits and throwing 100 pitches.  With the win, Michigan puts themselves in a great position in the College World Series and getting to the finals.

WBR photographers Brad Williams and Ken Juszyk were there on Monday night.  Enjoy their slideshows below and then head over to the WBR Photo Store CWS photo galleries to pick up your favorite prints.
