Another Creighton men’s basketball season kicks off on Sunday. After an offseason where Doug McDermott and Gregory Echenique played basketball internationally for most of the summer and the whole team took a trip to the Bahamas for a team bonding experience, Creighton fans finally get to see a game in the states involving the Bluejays.
Creighton will take on Division II Rockhurst in an exhibition contest on Sunday afternoon in the renamed CenturyLink Center at 2 p.m. Many may refer to it as the “Clink” or even the Phone Booth. But we would like to start a nickname started in the Creighton Athletic department and refer to it as the “CLC Thunderdome.”
Whatever you decide to call the arena, Creighton basketball will fill its seats on Sunday. With a month of team practices under their belt, we will get a preview of the 2011-12 Bluejays. We know some can’t be at the game. That is why before each game, we will present a Media Menu where you can track the Jays home or away. Here are the options for tracking Creighton in their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Hawks.
