The Creighton men’s soccer team made their first appearance on the field against an opponent other than themselves in an exhibition matchup with Maryland on Friday night. Maryland scored two quick goals in the first half before Creighton rallied back to tie the match 2-2. Maryland then countered with third goal before halftime.
The Bluejay’s defense came out in the second half an limited Maryland’s scoring opportunities. They then rallied late again to tied things up 3-3 and the game ended in a tie.

The Bluejays came back on Sunday to play their final exhibition game of the season against in-town rival UNO. The defense continued its scoreless streak since the second half of Friday night’s game and Eric Miller scored a goal in the 74th minute as Creighton came away with a 1-0 victory.

The Bluejays open the regular season this coming Friday, August 24th, against Northern Illinois at 7:30 p.m. at Morrison Stadium.
