The Creighton baseball team continued their tour of California with a mid-week game at Sacramento State. The Bluejays struggled against the Hornets dropping this game, 7-2.
Things started off badly for the Bluejays as starter Brian Koenigstein was chased in the first inning without recording an out and the Hornets got an early 4-0 lead. Sacramento State got three more runs in the second inning before Creighton settled down. The Bluejays were limited to four hits and tried to mount a comeback in the ninth inning but came up short.

Creighton finishes the long road trip with a weekend series at Pacific starting on Friday.
