Creighton and Nebraska completed their season series on Tuesday night at TD Ameritrade Park. Unfortunately for the Bluejays, they were unable to salvage a win in the series falling to the Huskers 7-6.
The Bluejays jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but Nebraska battled back to tie it in the 5th inning. In the bottom of the 6th, Creighton took the lead back to get back up 5-3. However, the Bluejays then gave up runs to Nebraska in the final three frames to get down 7-5 heading into the bottom of the ninth. Creighton started off hot getting a triple and a double to cut it down to one. With the tying run 90 feet away, Nebraska was able to hold the Bluejays off with a ground out with the infield moved in and a strikeout to end the game and the Huskers sweeping the series.
