It is hard to believe that baseball is already in the air for the middle of February, but the Creighton baseball team opened up it’s 2012 season with a sweep of Central Arkansas this past weekend. Creighton opened the season with an exciting 4-3 victory on Friday, went extra innings to get the win on Saturday and then took the Sunday matinee with a 5-1 win.
Nick Judkins and Chance Ross along with Brennan Murphy and Scott Thornburg had great weekends at the plate. Meanwhile, the Creighton pitching staff got solid outings by starters Ty Blach and Andrew Urban and the bullpen helped the Bluejays get the wins.
