Creighton and Nebraska came into Tuesday night’s game with both teams playing well. With the season series in the balance, the Bluejays got a home run from Jack Strunc in the sixth inning, which was the difference in the 2-1 victory and series victory over the Huskers.
The Bluejays went with the pitcher by committee approach for the midweek game. Denson Hull continued his steady improvement down the stretch to start the game and Creighton got out to the lead in the fourth. Nebraska did come back to tie the game up during the top of the sixth, before Strunc got the lead back with his first dinger of the season.
