The Creighton baseball team opened up an 8-game homestand on Tuesday night and struggled against crosstown opponent Nebraska-Omaha. This was the first meeting between the two teams since UNO moved to Division I in all sports.
The Bluejay bats were anemic, unable to get a hit until the sixth inning, but ran out to a 2-0 lead. UNO rallied against the Creighton bullpen in the seventh and eighth innings to send the Bluejays to their fourth straight loss 3-2.
