The 2019-20 regular season for Creighton basketball is just a few weeks away. On Thursday, the media got their first look at the Creighton men’s and women’s basketball teams in the annual basketball media day. WBR photographer Ken Juszyk was there to capture the day in photos.
The Creighton women’s basketball team will be led by returning preseason All Big East selection Jaylyn Agnew. The Big East coaches for the preseason selected the Bluejays to finish in the upper half of the league, placing fourth. Nine letterwinners and three starters return for the Bluejays.

The Creighton men’s basketball team returns a majority of their roster, including preseason All Big East guard Ty-Shon Alexander, but was selected to finish seventh in the league. However, the Bluejays have usually exceeded preseason expectations and look to do so again this season.

Hoops is really close as the Bluejays both have their closed scrimmages on Saturday, October 26th with the women playing against Iowa and the Men squaring off against Missouri.
The first public showings of the season will come on October 22nd when the women host an exhibition with NAIA National Champion Concordia Bulldogs on October 22nd, while the men will take on McKendree on November 1st.
