The 2022-23 Creighton men’s basketball team displayed their talent against some competition other than themselves on Sunday night. They took care of business in their only exhibition of the season with a 109-57 victory over Division II Drury.
The Bluejays come into the season with some of the highest expectations ever for the program. If Sunday was any indication, it should be a fun season. Four of the five starters – Trey Alexander, Arthur Kaluma, Baylor Scheierman and Ryan Kalkbrenner – finished in double figures, while the fifth starter, Ryan Nembhard dished out six assists with only one turnover in the victory. The Bluejays open the regular season on Monday, November 7th, against St. Thomas.
