On a cold early afternoon in Omaha, the Creighton men’s basketball team appeared cold against their opponent on Sunday, ETSU. However, the Bluejays rallied down by double digits with under eight minutes to go and rallied to get the victory, 75-69, and move to 2-0 on the season.
All the statistics were not in Creighton’s favor throughout the game, including being out rebounded, 40-22, especially on the offensive end, 19-3, to go with 16 turnovers. However, the Bluejays rallied from a scoring perspective to outscore ETSU 24-6 in the final seven minutes to get the victory. Ty-Shon Alexander led the way with 20 points, while Damien Jefferson contributed 14 points of his own. Mitch Ballock closed out the double-figure Jays with 10 points, including two free throws at the end to seal it.
