The Creighton men’s basketball team knew it wouldn’t be easy to go on the road for the first time this season with all the new faces of the roster. Unfortunately, the first road test came against #14 Indiana in the first edition of the Big 10/Big East Gavitt Games. The Bluejays were down double digits early in the first half and were never able to recover in the 86-65 loss to the Hoosiers.
Maurice Watson led the Bluejays with 21 points as Indiana contested each shot from behind the arc. It was hard to get offensive rebounds and lost the total rebound battle 43-32. Khyri Thomas was also in double-figures for the Jays with 11 points.
