The Creighton Men’s Soccer team debuted for 2012 with their annual Blue/White Scrimmage early Sunday evening. There were a lot of things we were interested in seeing as the Bluejays head into the season with a preseason #3 ranking. Despite a lot of holes head coach Elmar Bolowich has to fill going into this season, there is a lot of buzz for a repeat of last season’s trip to the College Cup.
With an offseason replacement of the turf, the Bluejays put on a defensive show by going into halftime scoreless. However in the second half, the Blue squad took over with Jose Gomez and Bruno Castro scoring goals to finish the evening with a win over the White team 2-0.
