Jim Flanery and the Creighton women’s basketball team ended their regular season on a 3-game win streak. The Bluejays beat Indiana State on Senior Day at Sokol Arena, with Megan Neuvirth leading the way with 22 points. Fellow senior Chevelle Herring scored 11 points and dished 6 assists (to just 1 turnover), while juniors Sam Schuett (11 points, 6 rebounds) and Kellie Nelson (6 points, 10 rebounds) helped treat the seniors to a fond farewell.

WBR will have more this week ahead of Creighton’s trip to St. Charles for the MVC Tournament. The Bluejays finished second in the MVC regular season, two games behind the #1 seeded Illinois State Redbirds. However, the Bluejays handed ISU its only two conference losses. So, the Jays and Redbirds each receive a first-round bye into the MVC quarterfinals. CU will play the winner of Thursday’s Drake-Evansville game.
