Creighton’s Doug McDermott scored 30 points, including 18 on a career-high 6 three-pointers, as the Bluejays beat Akron 77-61 Sunday afternoon. Gregory Echenique chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds and Grant Gibbs posted a ridiculous stat line of 7 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and no turnovers. Both Echenique and Gibbs had highlight-reel dunks posterizing Zips defenders, too.
