Creighton celebrated the retirement of Doug McDermott’s jersey on Wednesday night before the game against Villanova to open Big East play. Then in the actual game, the Bluejays took ownership and looked like they were going to pull away. Creighton had a 14 point lead early in the second half, but that lead slowly evaporated. Add in some chaos towards the end of regulation and a battle in overtime, and the Bluejays end the evening with a loss at home against the Wildcats.
