Kevin Smith
Position: RHP/SS
Height: 6’3’’
High School: St. Laurence (Illinois)
Breakdown: Athletic hard thrower has tools to play on the mound or infield while at Creighton. As a pitcher he has velocity upwards of 86 mph. Smith’s athleticism and footwork make him just as valuable in the field. He is a controlled hitter who hits for average.
Jeff Albrecht
Position: LHP
Height: 6’0”
High School: Creighton Prep (NE)
Breakdown: Quality arm from Omaha has been key member of the Creighton Prep rotation over the last year. Albrecht is a strike out machine who was named to All-Nebraska 2nd Team and Class A 1st Team last season.
Nick Lopez
Position: 2nd/SS
Height: 5’9’’
High School: Naperville Central (IL)
Breakdown: Lopez is a defensive wizard who can play either 2nd base of SS. Offensively, Lopez is a patient hitter who picks his spots and hits for the alley.
David Gerber
Position: RHP
Height: 6’2’’
High School: Neuqua Valley (IL)
Breakdown: Gerber is a powerful athlete who has commanding presence on the mound. Gerber can also play any outfield position. Big time athlete! Brother of current CU outfielder Mike Gerber.
