October 21, 2001 — Creighton’s women’s soccer team beats Missouri State 2-1 in double overtime, the second of three straight double-OT matches for the Bluejays.
Bruce Erickson’s side fought back from a 1-0 deficit and tied the match at 1-1 with a goal in the 56th minute by Courtney Luschen. Then, in the 100th minute, Lulu Quickly notched her 5th goal of the season to subdue the Team Formerly Known as Southwest Missouri State.
The Bluejays had battled to a 2-1 double-OT win just two days before at Drury in Missouri, and they would come home and drop a 2-1 double-OT match to Southeast Missouri State a few days later.
