October 5, 1991 — In his second season as head coach at Creighton, Bob Warming’s Bluejays host #11 Southern Methodist University and lose 2-0.
The Bluejays finished 1991 12-5-2, with three losses coming against ranked teams: 6-0 at #6 UCLA, 2-1 vs. #17 Tulsa, and 2-0 to the #11-ranked Mustangs. One of the two Bluejays’ ties came at #4 Virginia in early September 3-3 in overtime).
The Jays would find retribution the next season, as Warming’s squad would beat #4 SMU on the road and #4 Saint Louis University during the regular season.
