Today in Bluejay History (10/8)

October 8, 1938 — Creighton’s football team collects a 16-7 win over Oklahoma A&M.

The Bluejays came into the game following a 26-0 shutout against South Dakota University. Oklahoma A&M had defeated Central Oklahoma in the first week of the season but dropped games at Arkansas and versus Baylor before taking on the Bluejays.

About 20 years later Oklahoma A&M would change its name to Oklahoma State University.
