Creighton started the 1931 season started 2-0 before the road loss against Drake, a start that stood in stark contrast to Creighton’s tough 1930 campaign. The Bluejays went 1-7 that year, losing their last seven games to end the season.
The Bluejays would bounce back the next week with a 40-0 shutout of Washington University.
