Today in Bluejay History (1/10)

January 10, 1930 — Creighton’s William Worthing hits a 65-foot shot to beat Kentucky 28-27.

Worthing’s shot was the longest made field goal at UK’s home gym in school history. And to commemorate the basket, Kentucky placed a brass plate in the gym.

The Bluejays would lose the next night in Lexington, 25-21.
