January 11, 1927 — Creighton defeats South Dakota State 67-16, for the 6th largest winning margin in school history.

CU beat SDSU by 51 points, which marked the first of two times in school history the Creighton’s men’s basketball team would beat an opponent by 51 points — the Bluejays beat Northern Colorado 105-54 in 1959.

The largest winning margin in Creighton history occurred when CU beat Midland 63-6 in 1925, a 57-point victory. More recently, CU beat Texas-Arlington 106-50 in November 2002.
