Just about 3,500 Creighton fans filed into the Civic Auditorium to watch Buford begin his junior season, one that would end with him averaging 18.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. But Bluejays fans in attendance to watch CU host the Kangaroos witnessed the first regular season games for freshmen Ryan Sears and Ben Walker and junior college transfers Donnie Johnson and Doug Swenson.
