November 5, 2002 — One of the best Creighton men’s basketball teams in school history starts its season with a narrow 75-72 win against Nebraska-Omaha.
Creighton trailed 68-67 with 3:07 left to play, before MVC Player of the Year Kyle Korver took control. Korver led the game with 29 points, including 14 in the final 11 minutes of the second half.
Larry House chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds, while Joe Dabbert put up 10 points in 15 minutes.
